Examide belongs to a group of antihypertensive drugs that inhibit the sodium, potassium and chloride transporters in the loop of the ascending Henle in the kidney. It works on diuresis and excretion of sodium, chloride and water with urine. It also does not change the glomerular filtration rate, renal plasma flow and works on the acid-base balance in the body. Dosage and method of use: In congestive heart failure, 10 mg once daily. Chronic renal failure: the dose is 20 mg once daily
